What is GuildCon? GuildCon is gaming. Performances. D&D. Movies. Cosplay. Food! GuildCon is like if DragonCon and ComicCon got together and had a beautiful, delicious convention baby. What began as our grand opening for The Guild Hall two years ago has since evolved into the Mega Charizard of geek meetups. Free entry gets you four straight days of opportunities to get your game on. Meet some heroes of the tabletop gaming industry, show your skills in our many competitions, learn to play some new games, and find your new nerd-vana at The Guild Hall this September 22th - 25th. You won’t want to be the only one of your friends to say you weren’t at GuildCon 2016!
Do you love D&D? How about panels by many of the storytelling and game design experts that brought 3.5 to life? That's right! Monte Freaking Cook!!! And Bruce Cordell! Not only will they be doing several panels, but they will also be running sessions of their latest RPGs!Do you love tabletop gaming? How does three days of open play, painting contests, and tournaments sound? Is card gaming more your style? We’ve got Pokemon, Magic, and Munchkin tournaments, coming right up. GuildCon has all the opportunities you can dream of to show off your gaming skills and maybe meet some new friends along the way. Did we mention we’ll have most of the staff of Monte Cook games here? Because yeah, we totally will. How about them apples?

Meet these badasses
Lead Designer - Monte Cook Games
One of the most prolific and import game designers since Gary Gygax, Monte Cook has worked on hundreds of products, including as a co-designer of D&D 3rd Edition, and designer of Heroclix, Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, Ptolus, Arcana Evolved, Numenera, The Strange, Cypher System, No Thank You Evil, and so much more, including a number of Planescape products, Call of Cthulhu d20, Monte Cook’s World of Darkness, a whole bunch of d20 stuff, and—going way back—products for Rolemaster and Champions.
Senior Designer - Monte Cook Games
Bruce is an award-winning game designer and part of the prolific and talented team fropm Monte Cook Games that has released Numenera, The Strange, Cypher System and No Thank You Evil in just the last few years. He’s worked on Dungeons & Dragons over the course of four editions as a writer and developer (including D&D Next); to date he’s written over 100 D&D products, including Gates of Firestorm Peak, Return to the Tomb of Horrors, Expedition to Castle Ravenloft, Gamma World, and the Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide. He’s also a novelist, with nine novels, mostly set in the popular Forgotten Realms world.

Bram Stoker Award nominated-novelist, short story writer, independent screenwriter, podcaster, and inventor of the Drabble Novel, Jake Bible has entertained thousands with his horror and sci/fi tales. He reaches audiences of all ages with his uncanny ability to write a wide range of characters and genres. Jake is the author of the bestselling Z-Burbia, as well as Salvage Merc One, the Apex Trilogy (DEAD MECH, The Americans, Metal and Ash), the Mega series, and others.
Creative Director - Impeller Games
Jack is a 20-year veteran of the gaming industry, working on the Mechwarrior series, Heavy Gear, and Spyro as a designer. As lead designer on groundbreaking games such as Far Cry, Crysis, and Hero, Jack changed the way we play games - and what games we play! Most recently, Jack co-founded Impeller Games, makers of Starfighter Inc, which promises to revolutionize the immersive nature of ship-to-ship space combat. Jack also teaches game design at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Creative Director - Monte Cook Games
Shanna has worked as a writer and editor for nearly 20 years, and has six books, hundreds of short stories, and myriad other works to her name. Over the years, she’s won numerous awards for her work, including a Pushcart nomination, the C. Hamilton Bailey Poetry Fellowship, and the Utne Reader award for Best New Publication.
Currently the lead editor of Numenera and its follow-up products, Shanna’s other recent works include Bound by Lust (Harper Collins), Geek Love (Stone Box Press), and The Lure of Dangerous Women (Wayzgoose Press).
Chief Guitarist - Artificial Fear
Artifical Fear has been a staple at The Guild Hall and The Chromatic Dragon since our very first beta release party in May 2014! Mat's popular YouTube channel has over 42,000 subscribers because no one does metal covers of video game and tv theme songs quite like this! He also happens to be a great guy, whose day job is teaching music to middle school and high school kids in Savannah, GA!
Founder- Dirty Dolls
Mary Contrary, frontwoman for the all-lesbian neo-burlesque troupe, the Dirty Dolls, is a trained dancer, fine artist, and a fantastic example of the diverse, creative and exciting community that is The Guild Hall!!! The Dirty Dolls have been doing "nerdlesque" shows at The Guild Hall since we first opened in summer 2014! They have performed at every single GuildCon, every single GuildHalloween, and numerous other events over the years. Who knows what wonderful costumes they will don for ther nerdlesque show at this year's GuildCon?!? Suicide Squad? Guardians of the Galaxy? Mortal Kombat? Overwatch?!!
Co-Founder- The Guild Hall
Clegg Ivey is an entrepreneur and co-founder of The Guild Hall, The Chromatic Dragon, Savannah to Go, Jolly Goblin Games, 8-Bit Donuts and Redux Beverages, makers of Cocaine Energy Drink. As a tech lawyer in the late 90s, Clegg was on the team that fought Microsoft in the Browser Wars, the RIAA in the MP3 Wars, and advised Hasbro on the acquisition of Wizards of the Coast. Clegg is an adjunct professor at both Tulane University in New Orelans and Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, where he teaches entrepreneurship, technology and public policy.
